Bull Moose Tube is owned by Caparo, a private, UK based Group controlled by Lord Paul and his family, specializing principally in the manufacture and supply of steel and engineering products for industry.

Lord Paul’s roots go back to the little Punjab town of Jalandhar in India, where in 1910 his father started by making steel buckets, tubs, trunks and agriculture implements and had a small foundry at the back of the family home. From his father, Lord Paul and his three brothers learned three important business lessons:

integrity, hard work, and value of close family ties. To these things he attributes much of his success. (From this modest undertaking has grown Apeejay Surrendra Group, one of India’s largest family owned industrial groups in a wide range of industries-steel, engineering, pharmaceuticals, hotels, shipping, tea and finance.)

Lord Paul went to Britain in 1966 for medical treatment for his daughter. He remained in England after her death in 1968 and sees all he has created in Caparo Group as a dedication to her memory. In 1994 Lord Paul took the opportunity to commemorate the rebuilding of London’s Children Zoo in her name.

Caparo was founded in 1968 with one small factory in Huntingdon, England by Lord Paul. Through the determination, integrity and principles of Lord Paul, his family and management teams, Caparo has grown to become one of the largest family owned industrial businesses in the UK with over 3,000 employees. Caparo Steel Products is one of the UK’s largest steel conversion and distribution businesses, manufacturing and extensive range of structural steels, precision tube, special bar qualities and industrial wire. Caparo Engineering, comprised of a number of smaller and medium sized engineering companies based in the UK, includes the manufacture of aluminum castings, forgings, metallic cable protection equipment, tube and pipe fittings, hand tools, automotive parts and plastic injection and blow moulding products. Armstrong Fastenings is the largest manufacturer of fastenings in the UK and one of the leading producers in Europe.
