Bull Moose Tube has been manufacturing coated products since the mid 80's. Galvalume® product combines the protective characteristics of both aluminum and zinc, providing twice the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel at the same coating thickness. The sacrificial characteristics of the coating provides better base metal edge protection than aluminized coating around non treated punched holes and sheared edges on fabricated parts. Welding is easily done with either electric resistance or conventional arc welding techniques, and the lower zinc coating content substantially reduces welding fumes. The product is readily formed using a variety of mechanical processes without destroying the coating integrity.

Bull Moose Tube manufactures the product in a variety of shapes from 20 gauge through 14 gauge in the following:

Rounds - 5/8" to 4" OD

Squares - 1/2" to 3", with associated Rectangles

Special shapes such as ovals are also available on request. Tubing can be supplied in mill cut lengths from 30 in to 40 ft, depending on the tube size. The seam weld can be provided either bare or remetallized depending on the end use. Galvalume® mechanical tubing is manufactured to ASTM A787.

The product is used in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential applications. The uses are as varied as framing for greenhouses, fencing, and playground equipment. Remetallized Galvalume® coating is not recommended for painting/powder coating applications; however, Bull Moose Tube processes the tubing to endeavor that the end user has the best possible product for powder coating. Traditional galvanized coatings are also available from Bull Moose Tube in a range of coating weights. End use application must be specified at time of order.

To minimize risk of discoloration, the product should be protected from moisture during shipping, handled with clean, dry gloves, and stored in dry and warm place.
